Why every Beyond Bright project gets its own team

By Hana Brenner-Katz, Founder

Most agencies put whoever's on staff on your project.

We do it differently. We have a small core team and build a team for each project from a bench of specialists we've worked with before.

What that looks like

Say a skincare brand comes to us for a launch. They need a shoot, a set of social templates, a launch email sequence and an event for local press and creators. Their team might be a photographer who's great with product and skin, a designer who builds systems in Canva, an email lead and an event producer.

Now say a food brand needs ongoing social and nothing else. Their team is a content creator who shoots food well and a social manager.

Either way you work with one strategist from our core team who writes the briefs.

Why we set it up this way

A small full-time staff has to cover everything, so someone's always working outside their lane. With a bench we can bring in the photographer who's best at food or the designer who's best at retro type, for the project that needs them. The team fits the month too. A launch month might pull in five or six people, while a quiet month might just be your strategist and a designer.

It also keeps things consistent. Our bench is people we've worked with before, and we try to keep the same people on your account. System1's Compound Creativity research with the IPA found brands that kept the same agency for five years averaged 3.0 stars for creative quality, against 2.3 for brands that switched two or more times (AMI). We haven't seen a study on the people inside an agency, but we'd bet the same is true there.

How we keep it organized

The catch is it takes a lot of writing things down. Every client has its own Slack channel and one strategist, and freelancers get a written brief and know who to ask. When someone new joins a client team, they can catch up from what's already in Drive and Slack.
